Please remain safe in our chat rooms, This page will help you understand the dangers of teen chat rooms and help you spot them before anything bad happens. It's important to look our for yourselves and each other because unfortunately unmoderated teen chat rooms become a play ground for online predators.
The most important thing to do is never under any circumstances no matter how well you think you know someone, never give out your phone number, your school, home address or any other personal information which someone can identify you as an individual.
Although our chat rooms are moderated closely by both humans and mIRC bots, we rely alot on our members to report suspicious activity and offender, we can't be everywhere at once and it's a great help if you join the #Help chat room and give us a heads up on people braking the rules.
Avoid conflict in the chat rooms. If there is an arguement just stay out of it, you don't know who you're chatting to online or what they're capable of so please for your own safety don't involve yourself with other people arguements.
Always be cautious of who you're talking to, question the situation in your head "Is this person telling me everything i want to hear", "Is this just too perfect". Some people will spend hours maybe even days trying to gain your trust for the wrong reasons. If you have any doubts or suspicions please join the #Help room and report it. Even if you're only 10% sure every case is investigated.
Adult Safety
It's important to stay safe while chatting especially in our cyber room, At the moment we are having an issue with perverted men posing as young women trying to take advantage of the men in the chat rooms. They will sweet talk you into signing up on a website which eventually leads to them earning money from you. Us mods on the chat call them 'Cam Whores' its very easy to spot these people, they normally have a very dirty luring nickname and they basic say all the right things to get users interest. If it sounds too good to be true it more than likely is.
